Peters and White Construction will be closing Elliot Drive in South Mills on Wednesday or Thursday April 17th and 18th from 8AM to 2:30PM to do a road crossing of the sewer line. They will have a steel road plate nearby to lay across the open trench if an emergency vehicle needs to get through.
This work will not impede the morning or afternoon school bus schedules... they have said work will commence after the buses run in the morning and will be concluded for the day prior to 3:15 PM at the latest.
On Thursday April 18 or Friday April 19, from 8:00 AM to 2:30 PM, Peters and White Construction will be closing Community Drive at the intersection of Community Drive and Bloodfield Road to put a sewer line in place. Camden County, in coordination with the Camden County High School Coast Guard Junior Leadership Program, and the Disabled American Veterans, will be conducting a Memorial Day service Friday, May 24, 2013, at 7:30AM, on the front lawn of the Historic Courthouse. All public are invited and encouraged to attend.

This will be a meeting with Dave Richards of North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services and others to discuss what the future holds for parents of children with intellectual disabilities.
There will be an open forum for parents to ask questions about services currently available for their children as well as what services may be available for their children as the parents age.
A “make-your-own” sandwich buffet will be provided along with chips and soft drinks.
