Under the supervision of the Librarian, Camden County is seeking a Library Assistant for three to four (3-4) Saturdays per month. This person will be responsible for helping people with their technology needs and finding appropriate reading material; check books in and out; make library cards and process requests; we are seeking a responsible, reliable, and dependable person. The individual should love books and reading; be comfortable using computers and other technologies (i.e. Smartphone, tablet and eReader); enjoy working with children and adults of all ages and abilities; familiar with Dewey Decimal System. Applicant must have a high school diploma or GED. Valid NCDL required upon hire. Criminal History, Driving Record and Drug Screening require prior to hire. $9.50 per hour with a 5% increase upon completion of a six (6) month probationary period.
