General Definition of Work
Performs general, physical work maintaining lawns. Work is performed under the supervision of the Wastewater Supervisor.

Essential Functions
Maintains the assigned facility grounds.
Maintains and operates landscaping equipment.
Mows lawn either by hand or using a riding lawnmower.
Trim and edge around walks, flower beds, and walls.
Rakes leaves.
Operates tractor.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
General knowledge of maintenance, skill in the use of equipment to which assigned; ability to perform manual labor for extended periods; ability to follow instructions; ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with associates.
Education and Experience
High school diploma or GED.
Physical Requirements
This work requires the regular exertion of up to 20 pounds of force; work regularly requires walking, speaking or hearing, using hands to finger, handle or feel and reaching with hands and arms, frequently requires standing, pushing or pulling and lifting and occasionally requires sitting, climbing or balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching or crawling and repetitive motions; work has standard vision requirements; vocal communication is required for expressing or exchanging ideas by means of the spoken word; hearing is required to perceive information at normal spoken word levels; operating motor vehicles or equipment and observing general surroundings and activities; work regularly requires exposure to outdoor weather conditions, frequently requires working near moving mechanical parts, work is generally in a loud noise location (e.g. grounds maintenance, heavy traffic).

Valid North Carolina State Driver's License and Social Security Card
