RECRUITMENT NOTICE – CAMDEN COUNTY LIBRARIAN
Are you ready for an exciting career opportunity – a position where your talent and skills will make a difference? The East Albemarle Regional Library is now hiring for the position of Camden County Librarian. The Camden County Librarian oversees the daily operations of a brand-new, modern facility, which opened in June 2022. The County Librarian performs administrative and supervisory work, acts as a representative of the library and seeks library involvement throughout the community. The County Librarian serves as Department Head and is responsible for budgeting, materials selection, and evaluating personnel.
Qualifications: Requires MLS from an ALA-accredited institution. Prior public library and supervisory experience are strongly preferred. Must qualify for North Carolina Public Librarian Certification. The ideal candidate must be community-oriented and able to work collaboratively with staff, community leaders, and elected officials.
Salary: $54,847 with excellent benefits including health insurance and longevity pay.
