These are the two potential locations that have been presented to the Navy by the North Carolina Department of Environment & Natural Resources for use as an OLF (Outlying Landing Field).

This will be a support facility for the Oceana Naval Base in Virginia Beach. The OLF is intended to serve as a practice landing area for pilots simulating night landing on an aircraft carrier.
