Special Meeting

Camden County Senior Center, Conference Room
Chairman James Burnham called to order a special workshop meeting of
the Camden County Planning Board with the following members present:
Chairman James Burnham
Vice-Chairman Rodney Needham
Members Calvin Leary, Michael Etheridge, Robert Woodrow and Ray
Albertson
Also present were David Parks, Permit Officer, Dan Porter, Planning
Director, Amy Durden, GIS Technician, and Lori Tuss, Clerk to the Board
Board members absent were: Terri Griffin
Dave Parks gave a summary for the workshop agenda.
New Business
Item # 1 Ordinances and Rezoning Changes
Staff gave open forum presentation. The topics of interest were Core
Villages, rezoning changes and impacts, and review of changes to the
permissible use table. The results of those items are as follows:
1) Ordinance 151.060 Minimum lot size. Vice Chairman Rodney Needham
made a motion to approve the changes presented by the staff. Michael
Etheridge seconded the motion. Motion passed 6-0; none opposed.
2) Ordinance 151.063 Set
backs in a CCD Zoning District. A motion by Robert Woodrow to approve
changes to the aforementioned district was
made. Vice Chairman Needham seconded the motion. The motion passed
6-0; none opposed.
3) GUD districts have been
tabled for further discussion, as well as, conservation districts.
At 8:43 PM the board and staff took a break.
Chairman James Burnham called a re-order of the special workshop of
the Planning Board at 8:55 PM.
4) Ordinance 151.066 Multifamily and Two Family Residences- Calvin
Leary called a motion to approve the staff changes to the ordinance.
Robert Woodrow seconded the motion. The motion passed 6-0: none opposed
5) Ordinance 151.230 Lands Subject To Subdivision regulations within
this chapter. Woodrow made a motion to approve the staff changes. Ray
Albertson seconded the motion. The final vote is 4-0. Two opposed.
6) Ordinance
151.275 Abbreviated Procedure for private Access Subdivision (F)
was table for further review.
Consideration Date of the Next Meeting
Regular
meeting is scheduled for January 18, 2006 at the Courthouse in
Camden County.
Adjournment
Robert Woodrow made a motion that the meeting be adjourned. Etheridge
seconded the motion. The motion passed 6-0. The meeting adjourned at
9:15 PM.
