Camden County Commissioners
Camden County is governed by a 5-member elected Board of Commissioners.  There are no municipalities in Camden County, although a small portion of the City of Elizabeth City extends over the Pasquotank River onto the Camden Causeway (US158).  The County Commissioners appoint a County Manager who manages the day-to-day affairs of the county government.

Other County Boards include the Board of Adjustment, Planning Board, Social Services Board and many others.  Citizens interested in serving on the various boards and commissions should contact Camden County at info@camdencountync.gov or call 252-338-1919.

Sheriff, Clerk of Superior Court, and Register of Deeds
The citizens of Camden County also elect a Sheriff (Tony Perry), Clerk of Superior Court (Ann Spivey), and Register of Deeds (Peggy Kight) who manage those functions of the county government.

County Departments
Camden County Offices house several departments, including the Tax Department and the Public Works Department.

County Staff
Camden County services are provided by a dedicated, hard-working staff.  If you don't know where to start, please just call the general County number at 252-338-1919.
