Regular Meeting

Following adjournment of the joint meeting with South Mills Water Association, Chairman Jennings reconvened the regular meeting of the Board of Commissioners, on Tuesday, September 7, 2004, at 9:03 p.m. at the Topside Restaurant, Shiloh.

 

The following members were present:

 

Chairman Jeffrey B. Jennings

Vice Chairman Samuel K. Shaw Sr.

Commissioners J.C. Rountree, Melvin Jeralds, and Clayton Riggs

County Manager Randell Woodruff

Clerk to the Board Ava Murgia

 

Also attending:  Herbert Mullen and Clarann Mansfield.

 

Closed Session

 

Commissioner Rountree made a motion to go into closed session pursuant to G.S. 143-318.11(a)(3) to consult with the county attorney. The motion passed with Chairman Jennings, Commissioners Shaw, Rountree, Jeralds and Riggs voting aye; no Commissioner voting no; no Commissioner absent; and no Commissioner not voting.

 

The Commissioners entered closed session at 9:07 p.m.

 

Commissioner Riggs made a motion to come out of closed session and back into regular session.  The motion passed with Chairman Jennings, Commissioners Shaw, Rountree, Jeralds and Riggs voting aye; no Commissioner voting no; no Commissioner absent; and no Commissioner not voting.

 

The Commissioners re-entered regular session at 9:17 p.m.

 

Upon coming out of closed session, Chairman Jennings asked for any motions.  Hearing no motion, Chairman Jennings proceeded with the meeting.

 

Adjournment

 

There being no further items to come before the Commissioners, Commissioner Shaw made a motion to adjourn the regular meeting.  The motion passed with Chairman Jennings, Commissioners Shaw, Rountree, Jeralds and Riggs voting aye; no Commissioner voting no; no Commissioner absent; and no Commissioner not voting.

 

The joint meeting adjourned at 9:20 p.m.
