Board
of Elections - Absentee Voting |
WHO MAY VOTE ABSENTEE
Any registered voter in Camden County may request to vote an
absentee ballot by mail or in person at the Board of Elections
office.
APPLYING BY MAIL
To apply for an absentee ballot by mail, send a written request
to:
Camden County Board of Elections,
P.O. Box 206, Camden, NC 27921.
Include the following information:

residence
address in Camden County
-
address in
which you want the ballot mailed
-
party
affiliation, if a primary election
-
telephone
number or contact number
You may submit your request NO
LATER than 5:00 p.m. the Tuesday prior to the Election Day. The
request can be made by the voter, a near relative or verifiable
legal guardian. Upon receipt of your request, you will be sent an
absentee ballot, an application on a container-return envelope,
and instructions for completing the ballot.
VOTING YOUR ABSENTEE
BALLOT

Mark your
ballot.

Place it
inside the container-return envelope and seal.

Complete the
application printed on the container-return envelope.

Have two
witnesses who are at least 18 years of age sign the
container-return envelope.

Place
postage on container-return envelope and mail.

Follow
instructions completely provided by the Elections office.
RETURN YOUR ABSENTEE
BALLOT
Your voted absentee ballot must be returned to the Camden County
Board of Elections office no later than 5:00 p.m. on the day
before the election by mail, commercial courier service, or
delivered in person by the voter, the voter’s near relative or
verifiable legal guardian.
You may vote an absentee ballot in
person at the Camden County Board of Elections office no sooner
than the third Thursday prior to the Election Day and no later
than 1:00 p.m. the Saturday before the Election Day. During
one-stop absentee voting, the office is open during regular
business hours, except for the Saturday before the election where
it will be open 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. for that Saturday ONLY.
